Sarah Kuvenguhwa is an Artivist, Art entrepreneur, Anthropologist, International researcher, Think tank, Motivational Speaker and Mentor, Development and Cultural practitioner, Art-Culture Ambassador, Consultant and Advocate. Has special expertise and experience in fields of Creative arts, Culture heritage and diversity, Health, Climate Change and Environment, Disaster Risk and Livelihoods, International Relations and Human Rights, Peace and Conflict management, Mediation and Negotiation, Youth, women, children and people with disabilities related issues. She holds a M.A in Climate Change, Disaster Risk and Livelihood Studies from Women’s University in Africa, Zimbabwe. Double B.A in Peace and Conflict studies and Disaster Risk Management Minor, from Solusi University, Zimbabwe and a certificate in Southern African Climate Change and Disaster Risk Reduction training from Stellenbosch University, South Africa, sponsored by World Bank and PERIPERI U Partners and currently aspiring PhD candidate. Through her expertise, she has held several leadership positions, partnered and collaborated in companies, from local, national and international organizations.
She is the Founder and Director of Dzimbahwe Arts and Cultural Heritage Hub (DACHH), dedicated to incarnate, harness, protect and preserve Zimbabwe’s long ignored history, through deepening, strengthening and intermittently infusing the power of art and culture education, for strategic socio-economic, political, cultural and geographical day to day chores. The long term mantra is to give Zimbabwean communities a depth of character and understanding by addressing and pushing creative cultural solutions to current global challenges such as climate change, disasters, environmental and human-wildlife conflicts, youth, women, children, health and education related issues. All her work is driven by the deep love and passion towards charity and to help improve the access of education and health towards the most vulnerable, uneducated talented artists and cultural practitioners, less fortunate women, youths and families in rural areas around Zimbabwe. One aspect that has remained constant throughout her life, is her deep desire to make positive impact on the lives of others less privileged than her and help learn more creative arts and cultural activities, all ways in which could help to bring income and improve sustainable livelihoods in for them in the future, along with passion and a creative escape. She hope to inspire and empower other young people to rise above their circumstances and pursue their dreams, embrace philanthropy, actively seek out opportunities to lead and make a positive impact in their different communities.
